Intrusion and Fire Alarm Services

UL Approved Central Station Monitoring

Six Reasons To Test & Inspect Your Fire Alarm Systems Regularly:

1.      Lives are at stake! Your fire alarm system will only operate properly if it is maintained and some impairments will not be obvious without testing!

2.     To meet the requirements of your local building department, fire inspectors, and even your insurance carrier.

3.     Your insurance carrier may reject your claim if you do not have proof of complete annual inspections.

4.     To limit your liability for any potential injuries suffered by tenants, employees, or guests to your business.

5.     To assure that the system does not create nuisance alarms that waste Fire Department resources. This could put others’ lives in jeopardy and many jurisdictions will  charge the building owner for multiple nuisance alarms.

6.     It is required by the National Fire Alarm Code! (NFPA 72)---- IT'S THE LAW

Commercial Intrusion

According to the FBI, by far the most common threat to our homes is burglary.

FBI statistics show a burglary takes place somewhere in the United States every 15 seconds.  Home burglaries accounted for more than 70% of all burglary offenses.

  • Most break-ins occur during the daylight hours when people are at work or school.
  • The summer months of July and August have the highest rates of burglaries and February the fewest.
  • Burglaries are committed most often by young males under 25 years old looking for small, expensive items that can be easily converted to cash
  • Favorite items stolen in most burglaries include cash, jewelry, guns, laptop computers, cell phones and other small electronic devices.
  • 70% of burglars use some amount of force to enter a dwelling, but prefer to gain easy access through an open door or window.
  • In most jurisdictions police are able to clear less than 15% of all reported burglaries and these thieves are rarely caught in the act.

Home break-ins may seem like random acts, but as with most crimes, they tend to be crimes of opportunity. Burglars use a fairly simple selection process and choose the path of least resistance.

They look for unoccupied homes that give them the greatest amount of cover and easiest escape routes with the least likelihood of being caught. Following is a list of ways to minimize your risk and make your home unattractive to potential burglars

Honeywell VISTA-128B is an eight-partition, UL/CUL Commercial Burglary Control Platform that supports up to 128 zones using basic hardwired, polling loop, and wireless zones. It also includes zones for supervision of bells, keypads, RF receivers, and relays. In addition, the control offers scheduling capabilities and allows certain operations to be automated by pressing a single button. The system has the capability to interface with an ECP Long Range Radio unit that can send Contact ID messages and an alphanumeric paging device. When connected to ADEMCO’s PassPoint system (via the Vista Gateway Module), the VISTA-128B provides a fully integrated security and access control system.

Applications

The VISTA-128B is well suited for a variety of applications as a burglary control and is supported by a diverse line of ADEMCO initiating devices. Some of the applications supported are medical and professional buildings, supermarkets, churches or synagogues, office buildings, schools, universities, strip malls, larger residences and factory or warehouse environments.
